Our Mission
To bridge generations by recognizing distinguished Ugandan leaders and equipping young people with mentorship opportunities to drive sustainable progress
Through mentorship, we aim to:
- Preserve Uganda’s history of service and excellence
- Equip young leaders with the tools to build a strong, value-driven society.
- Encourage intergenerational knowledge sharing and leadership development.
Our Core Values
Our work is guided by four fundamental values that define the essence of Mentorship Uganda:
- Integrity – Upholding honesty, transparency, and ethical leadership in all our mentorship efforts.
- Service – Honoring those who have served Uganda and inspiring young people to embrace the spirit of service.
- Leadership – Encouraging responsibility, critical thinking, and mentorship-driven growth.
- Legacy – Ensuring that Uganda’s leaders leave behind a lasting impact that guides the next generation.
Why Mentorship Matters
Join us in celebrating Uganda’s greatest minds and empowering the next generation of change-makers!
- More than 70% of Uganda’s population is under 30 years old – young people need guidance, role models, and structured mentorship.
- Many young leaders lack access to real-world leadership training – mentorship fills this gap by providing direct interactions with experienced professionals.
- Our history must be preserved – learning from past mistakes and successes ensures that Uganda’s leadership remains strong and progressive.
Our History
Mentorship Uganda started as a vision to honor retired leaders and professionals while ensuring that their knowledge, experiences, and values are passed on to future generations
Key Milestones:
- The first National Mentorship Luncheon was held at Sheraton Kampala, bringing together Uganda’s most accomplished leaders and the next generation of mentees.
- Recognized 10 distinguished Ugandan leaders from governance, academia, business, and the arts.
- The event expanded to State House, welcoming 20 new honorees.
- Introduced structured mentorship programs, allowing young professionals to connect with Uganda’s most influential mentors.
- Expansion of mentorship programs to rural and urban youth.
- Launch of a digital mentorship platform to provide access to mentorship opportunities across Uganda.
Our Leadership
Together, we work to honor Uganda’s elders, create impactful mentorship programs, and build a knowledge-driven society.
