Why Mentorship Matters

• More than 70% of Uganda’s population is under 30 years old – young people need guidance, role models, and structured mentorship. • Many young leaders lack access to real-world leadership training – mentorship fills this gap by providing direct interactions with experienced professionals. • Our history must be preserved – learning from past mistakes and successes ensures that Uganda’s leadership remains strong and progressive.

Our History

Mentorship Uganda started as a vision to honor retired leaders and professionals while ensuring that their knowledge, experiences, and values are passed on to future generations.

Key Milestones:

📅 2023:

  • The first National Mentorship Luncheon was held at Sheraton Kampala, bringing together Uganda’s most accomplished leaders and the next generation of mentees.
  • Recognized 10 distinguished Ugandan leaders from governance, academia, business, and the arts.

📅 2024:

  • The event expanded to State House, welcoming 20 new honorees.
  • Introduced structured mentorship programs, allowing young professionals to connect with Uganda’s most influential mentors.

📅 2025 & Beyond:

  • Expansion of mentorship programs to rural and urban youth.
  • Launch of a digital mentorship platform to provide access to mentorship opportunities across Uganda.

Our Leadership

Together, we work to honor Uganda’s elders, create impactful mentorship programs, and build a knowledge-driven society.
